Bad idea
When my dog was a puppy, he LOVED chewing on sticks. One day I went home at lunch time to let him out and he was just going to town on this huge stick, chewing it and tossing it around and basically enjoying himself immensely. So I thought I would be nice and let him keep the stick while he was locked in the bathroom for the rest of the afternoon.
He probably did have fun for awhile. But then things turned ugly, as they do. I'm sure at a point his body just realized it had ingested waaaay too much stick, and he started projectile vomiting all over the bathroom. By the time I got home there was nothing but wood shards, vomit, and a worn out puppy on the bathroom floor.
Lesson learned - chew toys should not be random garbage I pick up out of the yard. I'm sure stories like this also make you all even more glad I don't have a human baby.

Seriously: remember my old advice about getting another dog? You totally should...then the other dog would eat the vomit and chewed-up wood shards, and you'd have nothing to worry about :)
LOL that is hilarious!! You are so funny, I mean, really who in their right mind would think it was ok to give a dog a stick for his all afternoon long chewing pleasures? You're lucky it didn't hurt him worse!
