Movie review: Up In The Air
I went into this movie expecting it to be nothing short of phenomenal. It seems to have gotten only rave reviews and I think the same guy that directed Juno directed it. I liked Juno.
This movie is just not that great, I kept expecting it to get better and it never really did. The girl who plays the young ingenue just seems sort of expressionless and George Clooney looks super old. The message is sort of convoluted. Am I missing something? If you've seen it, give me your feedback.

"George Clooney looks super old."
I hope I look that good when I'm super old.
I thought about it all day, and I think the point of the movie is that everyone should settle down and accumulate a bunch of junk because a bare apartment is depressing.
The bare apartment is a metaphor. The empty apartment symbolizes the Clooney character's lack of attachment to other human beings. He thinks he's free because he doesn't have a lot of emotional furniture, but at the end of the day a room without a place to sit isn't much of a room.
(and now that I have ventured an opinion about the point of the movie I should probably go and see it)
(i did see the trailer though! honest!)
