Where oh where can my baby dog be?

Well, I know where he is, but it's not with me! I brought the little darling with me for Christmas, but when it came time to fly back to DC, it was too cold for pets to fly in cargo. So now he's stuck at my sister's in Minneapolis until the weather gets above 10 degrees again. The first day forecasted to even have a high above that mark is Sunday - a week and a half after I left.

They don't tell you when you first take them that they can't come back if it's too cold. If I didn't have my sister there, I would have had to kennel him for over a week. And they don't pick up the tab.

On a related note, I've flown Northwest for years and years cos they go to my part of the country. I've been happy, or at least satisfied, for the most part. However, this whole merger with Delta is a disorganized mess. The customer service people don't know what they're doing, half the time I call the hotline I'm intentionally disconnected before I even reach a human and told to use the website instead, the ticket counters are backed up because "we're not used to the new system yet", I get completely divergent information every time I call, etc. etc.

Common complaints during all mergers, I'm sure, but I think I might try to fly American until they get it sorted out. I also sort of want my dog back.

You're welcome!

But it's no problem. I like little Hopu, and he's taken quite a liking to me, too. He's a good boy and listens well. And him and Deucey have become quite nice playmates too.
