A word I like: Crudite

For my entire life, or at least since I first saw the word "crudite", I thought it was pronounced "Krew-DIGHT". You know what I mean, like rhymes with "light"? But about a month ago, my friend was talking about a vegetable platter, and referring to it as "KREW-di-tay". That sounds so much more frenchy and sophisticated. Fortunately, I don't think I ever said it the wrong way out loud, because it seems like whenever I do that, someone knows the actual pronunciation and calls me out.
