Katie Couric IS condescending
I think we've all heard about Sarah Palin's new book and how she complains about the way McCain's campaign advisors gave her bad advice, how she hates the media, how she's not that stupid in real life, etc. etc. For the most part, I couldn't care less. She seems like a deliberately ignorant stooge about most stuff (especially still believing in creationism, I mean really? There's no way, she's just appealing to the religious zealots).
But I have to say, her description of Katie Couric as being condescending and more interested in "gotcha" moments than serious journalism rings really true to me. Katie just seems so full of herself and like she knows everything. You know who she reminds me of? Alex Trebek. Just because you get all the answers beforehand and get to prep and the people you're asking questions of don't, doesn't mean you're smarter than they are. It drives me nuts. I hate condescension from anyone, but when it's undeserved, it's so much worse.

i do find it quite amusing that you call people who believe in creationism stupid at the same time that you condemn condescension. But i still love you!
Can you imagine if that train wreck had become our vice president? She says the only skeleton in her closet is getting a D in a college course. For some reason I highly doubt that. Sorry, not a big fan and so sick of seeing her in the media! This is the most on politics that you'll ever hear me talk about, but I can't take it anymore!!!!
