Bah humbug
My office has a Christmas party on the last Friday before Christmas every year. We all get a bottle of wine from the finance department, a White House Christmas tree ornament from our director, and then head to the conference room for a gift swap among each other. It's that game where everyone draws a number and then the first one chooses a wrapped gift, then the person with the next highest number can either steal from them or choose a new one. My uncle calls it cutthroat Christmas, and it can get brutal!
Anyway, it's really fun actually. People are ruthless with stealing and it just goes on and on. What makes it fun is that people bring really nice presents, not just crappy white elephant gifts.
Until this year.
All I want for Christmas is to know is who brought the toothbrush (with a dentist's name printed on it, so it was FREE) and a child's toothbrush holder. That gift couldn't have cost more than $2.00. People were livid! And of course, nobody fessed up. Against my usual luck, I actually got a really, really nice gift. And our boss made an executive decision that the poor girl who got the toothbrush got to pick a new gift at the end since we had one extra.
But I am still on a mission to find out who brought that toothbrush. If it's the same person who walked away with a $25.00 iTunes gift card, it is ON!

Man... Am I glad that for our office, we made a decision to adopt a child instead :)
Where's this kid gonna sleep?
I think someone may have regifted? $25 itunes card sounds familiar.
Haha... I hope you are not thinking of an adoption. We are only adopting this girl for Christmas which means that she'll get a nice Christmas. She is so far getting $150 worth of gifts... Let me tell ya, that sure should be a nice Christmas for her.
find the toothbrush culprit - they clearly need to be outed.
hey, i need your home addy so i can send you a christmas card. email me - it's a good one.
Are you freakin' kidding me?? That wasn't just a joke gift? Somebody put that in for real? Get Charlotte on 'em--she can find out anything.
I really missed doing that with you guys this year. :(
