Congratulations to my friends

I recently returned from Indiana, where I was celebrating Christina and Christoph's marriage! I can safely say that I have never been in a wedding so beset with disasters, it was literally one thing after another after another until the moment the photographer started taking pictures.

You can read Christoph's post about it if you want to know more, but here's my rundown: the bridal store ruined her dress the day before the wedding, we found out the DJ canceled the morning of, the florist lost the flower order, the liquor store lost the beer order, the water main was broken in her hometown, there was flooding over the roads every time you turned a corner, the wedding venue closed down two days before, the best man's luggage got lost en route, YOU NAME IT.

But can I tell you, everything came together perfectly in the end. The park reopened, so they had their ceremony in this adorable little lodge, and the reception out in the front yard under the trees. Though the ground was wet, the rain stopped for the wedding, and everything was really beautiful and fresh. The dance later on had karaoke, which I love more and more every time I do it, and the bride treated us to a rousing rendition of "Welcome to the Jungle" that I will personally never forget!

Oh, one more thing - since we were back at Christina's parents' house, you better believe I got to go shooting again!
