Incredible - I've been tagged to give household tips.

Sandy just tagged me, so now it's my turn to give household tips. I won't do it in haiku form, like he did, but I actually do have a few!

1) Throw lots of parties. It forces you to clean, even if you are still doing it when party-goers arrive.

2) Try to live in a place with hardwood floors. They might get dusty, but that's a lot easier to clean and keep nice than stained carpets. And if you're throwing parties, the carpet will inevitably get stained.

3) If nothing else, keep your dishes washed. Laundry drying all over the apartment, stacks of books and papers, CDs, magazines, and jewelry strewn all over the floor isn't exactly pretty, but at least it doesn't smell bad or get moldy. Or get fruit flies.

4) Bleach and water clean out recycling bins without scrubbing. (Got that one from Debby.)

5) If you live in a small place, hang lots of mirrors, it opens up rooms like crazy.

OK, I'm done, I'm supposed to be working right now anyway. Besides, if you've seen my apartment you know I have no further tips, it looks like a bomb went off in there.

if u`d wonder what i think, these these are great tips.... especialy the one about mirrors .... my old place was barely big enough to fit myself in it , but it had mirror on the living room walls and made it look huge......

yes, mirrors.... love them. the better to be vain with discretely, too. ;) i also really like the way your place is set up. i always think when i come over that you have a knack for using your space well, blending colors and giving an overall impression of *you* with the different pictures and things you have out. your apartment is always comfortable to be in.
