Nightspot reviews

Maureen's friend Liz found a new happy hour spot on Wednesday nights, in the upstairs of Cafe Luna. It's just a small area, but it's decorated pretty cool, in an Arabian Nights-style that of course I'm a fan of. They had a couple of pretty good DJs and the beer was very cheap ($2 for Blue Moon!), so I'm sure I'll be back. Review in the Washingtonian Magazine

A new nightclub opened up on K Street next to Lima in December called Tattoo. I liked this place, too, although when I first got there, they tried to charge my male friend $20 to get in (ladies were free). I said, "Are you kidding? We're going to Lima then." The doorman changed his tune and we both got in gratis. The drinks are astronomically expensive, but the crowd was pretty big, even for a Wednesday, the people were stylish and the music was good. I would probably go back, but only if I didn't have to pay a cover. Review in the Washington Post
