GORGEOUS day

It's a beautiful one in the DC area today! Sunny and balmy. Really, I would say today is the definition of balmy. Everything just feels cushy and smooth and completely mild, the air, the light... I went for a walk over lunch break and might have to make another outing for the afternoon one, too. I wonder if murders and other violent crimes go down during periods of perfect weather. I don't really see how you could be mad right now.

I heard the funniest story on the radio this morning. This little boy in Mexico glued his hand to the bed so he wouldn't have to go back to school after Christmas break. His mom had to call paramedics to get him unstuck. I love his quote: "I didn't want to go to school because vacation was so much fun." Sadly for him, they freed him in time for class. It's true, though, going back to school was harder after Christmas break than even after the summer. All those new toys to play with! Mom and Dad home with you all day! Candy and cookies and pies for days!

Speaking of cookies and candy for days, my jumper is SUPER tight today, I can hardly get a deep breath. Oof.
