Fascinating! And kind of unreal
I just read in the Post that the CIA released GOBS of documents from the 60s and 70s detailing all the naughty secret stuff they did. I mean, stuff you think is only in the movies, like phone tapping news reporters, ordering killings, even testing drugs on people.
I'd heard about this stuff before, but I don't know, it almost took on a movie-like quality in my head. Like it was fiction or something. But when you see it right there, on real documents written by real people, wow. It's actually pretty disturbing, some of the stuff they were doing. I wonder what they're up to these days...!
Anyway, go take a gander at the papers yourself. (Click on "Family Jewels" - and by the way, it's 700 pages long.)
