I should have moved
I just got my gas bill - $88 for April. I live in Virginia, it's warmer here, that can't be right. It's almost $100 for an apartment the size of a large bathroom!!! What the heck! I need to live in a place with utilities included, but stupid me was too lazy to move so I'm stuck in my lease until next February again.
But what really REALLY REALLY makes me want to move is having to take the stupid bus every day. And then after I get off the bus, I have to take the metro. I'm just tired of doing both, it's not like I've got some swank location that makes it worth it. We've all seen my neighbors. There's just no excuse for waiting 20 minutes for one of the 16 buses to come up Columbia Pike, and suddenly have FIVE of them come all at once. I hate Metro, I hate Columbia Pike, I hate hate hate hate hate the 16 buses.
I want to sell my car and get a motorcycle, then I could drive to work every day, use the carpool lanes (and shoulders and squeeze between cars), and get special parking.

the 16 line....horrendous. and why DO they all come at once, or just not at all?
the other day I was having a particularaly trying commute home on the bus, and right by your intersection there was a woman on a bike who WOULD NOT LEAVE THE ROAD. a freaking bus is behind her wailing on its horn, and she peddaled away for another 4 blocks or so, totally oblivious, going about 6 miles an hour, all the while passing driveways and the OPEN sidewalk 2 feet to her right....
just maddening. so, so hate the bus.
and if i may...for my daily "i hate the bus beacuse" -
this morning i literally ran up to a bus as it was leaving my stop and it stopped, the driver looked at me, and it pulled away. this is not my joking face. I WAS NEXT TO THE DOOR.
Like I said, if I had to take the bus, there is no way in hell I would still be working here. Oh, and for some reason, there's a song by NIN that reminds me soooo much of your friend Eric and I don't even know the guy. The hand that feeds. the intro is this techno type music and it gets me excited everytime, and BAM. I think of a guy I never even met. I am so crazy. But you guys went to an NIN concert together right? So that's probably why
