Massacre
Today Virginia Tech was the site of the worst shooting massacre in United States history. 33 people are dead and every time I check the news, the number goes up. I can't turn off the TV. Students in shock are calling into news stations describing what they saw and experienced, reporters are asking idiotic questions like, "How will this affect you in the future?" as if they could possibly know...

Yeah, it's crazy. The town and campus are beautiful and peaceful--it's hard to square that image in my mind with the news reports. I may have to just avoid them for a while, since they have nothing new to say.
In class tonight all my classmates acted like nothing happened. So nobody cares? Are we numb? I don't get it...
It is beyond terrible. What a tragedy. I wonder if we'll ever know what could motivate somebody to do such a thing.
Yeah, I listened to the reports all last night and this morning. They are saying the same things over and over, but it still draws you in. My heart goes out to the families of the victims.
I'm still in shock over this. I will have a daughter going to college in two years...should I have to worry about this happening to her? I can't imagine what the family members are going through. Thoughts and prayers go out to all of them.
