These are a few of my favorite things

Time for me to talk about the things bringing me pleasure lately!

A Perfect Circle - I owe Kyla for introducing me to this band. I just love their sound, and the lyrics.

Ceiling fans - gifts from God when you're not running the A/C.

Man on Fire - I owe Eric for lending me this movie. I've watched it several times and really enjoy it. It takes place in Mexico City, a place I've never been, but I like that feeling of old, once grand architecture mixed in with more modern stuff, tropical heat, lots of people. And the plot of the film is really good, too.

Harris Teeter brand Key Lime Pie Ice Cream - I think I'm in love.

Riesling - Even people who don't really like wine can't help but like this sweet, summery stuff. I'm not a big fan of anything dry, so Riesling is perfect for me. It's the closest you can get to Boone's Berry Farm without the intense, burning shame!

My apartment - My place is best in the summer cos it's painted in beachy colors. I am still struggling with an "ant issue", but I really do like my little place. If I could change one thing, it would have hardwood floors instead of carpeting, but otherwise I'm happy with it. Well, a built-in cleaning person wouldn't hurt, either.

So which of their albums are you listening to? Mer de Noms? Cause that's the one I have and I think it's awesome.

Riesling is indeed pretty good and living in Trier it was virtually impossible to escape it. I like dry wines as well but anyone who thinks that only dry wines are or can be good is a snob. There I said it.

Do you ever listen to Tool? I like them too, Maynard is simply amazing ;) Sorry I didn't call you back last night. I was feeling extremely out of it. I slept until 8, got up and ate and was back in bed by 9:30. What is my deal?

I'm listening to "Thirteenth Step" lately, but LOVE "Mer de Noms", too. I don't have "Emotive", I think it's an anti-war album. I haven't listened to it yet.

We didn't get to finish watching 'Man on Fire'. I was enjoying it, but I had to rush off. Let's be sure to hang out soon and watch it again.

My daughter's boyfriend, of a year now, LOVES Tool. I think I have bought him 3 t-shirts of Tool...he has every CD of Tool... Robb took Courtney 2 years ago to a 4 band concert, one band of which was A Perfect Circle.

Yeah, if you ever get a chance you should definitely see A Perfect Circle in concert. They were by far the best concert I have ever been to. I went with Jeremy, Melissa and Wyatt back when were sophomores in college. We had tickets up in the balcony but Melissa and I managed to talk the guy at the door to letting us into general admission. We made it all the way to the front. Paz, the bassist, crowd dived right on top of us. It was awesome!
