It's that time of year...

There must be something in the air (spring!), because it's happened several times now that I have either reached out to someone, or someone has gotten back in touch with me after a long stretch of silence.

First was me. I emailed my way back ex boyfriend who's married now. I was driving around with Wyatt and we saw an old restored car. Wyatt goes, "I wonder if he's still got his old 442, and how it all turned out." For years while we were dating he worked on this car. I went to car show after car show with him. I looked at one car accessory magazine after another with him, excitedly no less. I discussed possible paint colors. I weighed options. I gave input. I went through a lot for that damn car. Then, right before the great unveiling... we broke up. I never even got to see, let alone ride in, the finished product. So, I sent over an email asking to see photos, if he was having fun driving it, how was work, and oh yeah, congratulations on getting married. I wouldn't say I've gotten any sort of response per se, but it was worth a try.

Then came a guy I briefly dated in late fall. Perhaps it shouldn't be classified as dating exactly, more like him calling me and saying how much he missed me and loved me (along with his five other girlfriends) and then acting like a big fat stupid jerk whenever I saw him, trying to make me jealous and generally being a PIG. This is the one I told you about back in January who called me when he found out I was dating one of his friends and said he hated me and that he never wanted to talk to me again. Apparently never again meant until he got bored and found my number in his cell phone and decided to call to invite me to hang out at 11:30 pm on a Sunday. (I declined.)

Then there's that guy I dated in January who wouldn't tell me his age, remember him? I still don't get that, but whatever. He fell off the face of the earth for awhile and just called me again last night. Apparently he'd up and gone to Florida for a month. Got back, called me.

I'm excited to see who calls next. I've got a couple of wishes for who it might be...

He doesn't have to tell me. I am going to call you soon. I promise....or maybe it is more like a threat. :) By the way, did you get your plane ticket yet?

I want to go visit my friends in Germany and go to Italy too cos I've never been, but tickets are sooooo expensive right now. (That means I haven't bought mine yet.)

You might want to wait till Fall (meaning September) prices will be more reasonable then.

Friends? I hate for you to learn it this way, since I thought it was one of those things we just never talk about and everybody is happy, but your parents pay premium for agreeing to hang out with you. You knew that, right?
